If your gutters are full of sticks, leaves, and other debris, the gutters can’t do their job and keep water away. When your gutters are clogged, there’s nowhere for the water to go, except over your gutters. Now instead of water running down the downspouts and away from your house, the water runs down the side of your home. This can lead to expensive problems, such as:
- Ice dams
- Rotted soffits and facia
- Rotted gutters
- Insect infestation
- Cracked or leaking foundation
- And the added weight from the debris in your gutters can also cause your gutters to pull away from your home causing a number of other problems, such as mold and mildew.
